Breast & Cervical Cancer Control Navigation Program (BC3NP)
Early detection is the best protection for Breast and Cervical Cancer. 1 in 8 women will have breast cancer in their lifetime.
For cervical cancer, the risk varies: Without vaccination or screening the lifetime risk of developing cervical cancer is estimated to be 1 in 45. With vaccination and screening, the lifetime risk of developing cervical cancer is estimated to be 1 in 532 for women who adhere to cytology screening every three years from age 21-64.
The Michigan Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Navigation Program (BC3NP) provides free breast and cervical cancer screenings and assistance with follow-up services for low-income women, between the ages of **40 to 64 with no insurance or limited health insurance meeting income guidelines.
**This program has limited availabilities for women between the ages of 40 - 49.

Superior Health Foundation:
Eligible breast cancer patients from all across the Upper Peninsula can apply for philanthropic grant funding/financial support to help minimize the out-of-pocket expenses for those who most need support for breast-care related bills, biopsies, procedures and ultrasound tests.
