Family Planning

Michigan's family planning program provides family planning help to women who otherwise don't have medical coverage for family planning services. These services are offered on a sliding fee scale based on your income level and we accepts Medicaid along with private insurance.

Family Planning

To assist you in taking care of yourself, we offer the following services:

  • Annual physical exams

  • Evaluation for an appropriate birth control method

  • Evaluation for sexually transmitted diseases

  • Distribution of chosen birth control method
     

The LMAS District Health Department offers a wide range of effective and safe birth control methods including:

  • Birth control pill

  • Birth control shot

  • Birth control patch

  • IUD

  • Nexplanon

  • Condoms

  • Birth control vaginal ring

  • Referrals for tubal ligation

  • Several other commonly used methods
