Community Health Education

Community Education at LMAS District Health Department

At LMAS District Health Department, we believe education is a key part of building healthier communities. That’s why we partner with local schools, youth organizations, and families to provide evidence-based prevention and wellness programs throughout Luce, Mackinac, Alger, and Schoolcraft counties.

Our goal is to equip individuals—especially youth—with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed, healthy decisions. From substance use prevention to emotional well-being, we offer a range of programs designed to make a long-term impact.
