The LMAS District Health Department is dedicated to supporting students’ emotional well-being through the E3 Program – Expanding & Enhancing Emotional Health. Our school-based mental health services in Munising Middle/High School provide children and adolescents (ages 5-21) with accessible, compassionate care in a familiar and supportive environment. Our licensed therapists, Melissa Carlson, MA, LPC, and Rachel Harmon, LMSW, are committed to helping students navigate challenges, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills.
To access services, parents or guardians must complete the necessary consent and referral forms, which are available on this page. For mental health support, a referral form must be submitted before an appointment is scheduled, ensuring that our therapists can assess the student’s needs and determine the best course of action.
By providing these critical services within the school, we aim to remove barriers to care, allowing students to thrive both academically and personally.
