LMAS District Health Department is accepting applications for a school-based Mental Health
Specialist to independently provide on-site comprehensive mental health services from mild to
moderate severity, working within the Les Cheneaux Community Schools. This position is full-
time with benefits. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing confidential intake,
risk assessment, treatment planning and evidence-based treatment delivery to children,
adolescents and young adults. The successful candidate will work closely and collaborate with
community resources (health providers, school staff, etc.) as appropriate to develop a
comprehensive treatment plan in effort to meet individual and/or family needs.
Requirements: Must hold a minimum of a Master’s level degree in an appropriate discipline and
shall be licensed to practice in Michigan as a Licensed Master Social Worker or Licensed
Professional Counselor.
